Crazy good experience as an unintentional dental tourist! 5 stars for professionalism, clear communication (in Spanish and English and with helpful drawings), and ridiculous fast turnaround. Everything Dr. Rodriguez said was going to happen post-root canal was spot on. Even without insurance that works in Mexico, it costs us less than what I paid in the US for a root canal a few years back with good insurance.
We arrived in Mexico City for what was supposed to be a 5 day vacation on Friday at 5pm, and my spouse was having a lot of tooth pain. We reached out via WhatsApp and got an appointment for 8pm. Dr. Rodriguez (mostly Spanish speaking) and his assistant (who spoke English) evaluated him and explained what was going on and why he thought he needed a root canal. He sent us to a fancy 3d dental scan (at Cedirama Digital - also recommended) the next day to confirm his diagnosis and that a root canal was feasible. We got an appointment for 10am Saturday and it confirmed that he needed a root canal and it was feasible. Dr. Rodriguez then did the root canal at 6:30pm on Saturday night. So, on a weekend and in 26 hours after arrival, the temporary cap was in place and he was on his way to recovery.
Too bad we weren't in town long enough to get the crown done there too... back to the US system. Sigh.
